is originally from Saskatoon, Canada. His principal teachers have been Eric Hall, Stéphane Lévesque, and Marie Sellar. He holds a DMA (doctorate of musical arts) from the University of Toronto, which resulted in founding the online database “Ukrainian Chamber Music Encyclopedia.” He has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, Orchestre de la Francophonie and a substitute with orchestras such as the Canadian Opera Company. An avid contemporary performer he has works written for and dedicated to him by over 20 different Ukrainian composers.
In addition to performing, he has been the orchestral librarian for the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, a summer assistant librarian at the Canadian Music Centre, and a music librarian at International Music Camp. a music editor for Éditions Plamondon producing publications for their Slava Ukraini Series, an archivist for the Council or Canadian Bassoonists creating the George Zukerman Library, and an community outreach coordinator for Reed Supplies Canada. He also volunteers on the chamber music committee for the International Double Reed Society. In his free time, Senick is an avid cook, and his favorite things to make are perogies and borsch.
is the acting principal oboist for the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra’s 2025/26 season. She has just completed her second Master’s degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied with Eugene Izotov. Glenda earned her first Masters degree at the University of Ottawa, and her bachelor’s degree from the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music, studying with Charles Hamann, and Sarah Jeffrey respectively. Originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Glenda began to play the oboe at the age of eleven, and her passion for classical music grew when she began studying with the principal oboist of the Saskatoon Symphony, Erin Brophey. Glenda has appeared in numerous ensembles including the Prairie Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra in Saskatoon, the National Academy Orchestra, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, which she has participated in four times. Glenda was a finalist at the 2022 NAC Orchestra Bursary Competition, and was awarded the Evelyn Greenberg Award. She was also invited to perform at the Agassiz Chamber Music Festival in Winnipeg in both 2022 and 2023. In April of 2023, Glenda was also one of a select few music students chosen to be featured as a soloist at one of the “UOttawa at the Fourth Stage” concerts. When Glenda is not busy practicing and making reeds, she enjoys journaling and taking photographs in nature.
is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She received her early musical training in Taiwan and continued her studies after moving to Saskatoon. Allie completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Woodwind Performance at Brandon University, where she studied with Dr. Catherine Wood. In 2015, she won Third Prize at the ENKOR International Music Competition. Allie has appeared in ensembles including the Brandon Chamber Players, Prairie Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra in Saskatoon, and the National Youth Band of Canada. She was also in the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra for many years, where she first discovered her love for chamber music through their programs. Allie has performed in the Winnipeg New Music Festival several times with the Brandon University New Music Ensemble. She enjoys working with composers and performing new music. Allie has premiered the works of several composers across Canada, including Chris Byman, Mark Marinic, and Luis Ramirez. She looks forward to working with more Ukrainian composers while performing with Slava Ukraini Winds.
(he/him) is an orchestral and chamber ensemble flutist and piccoloist based in Ottawa, ON and Saskatoon, SK. Originally from Saskatoon, Kyle completed his Bachelor of Music Honours in Performance at the University of Saskatchewan while studying under Randi Nelson and earned his Master of Music in Performance at the University of Ottawa under the tutelage of Camille Churchfield. He has continued further studies with Lorna McGhee during multiple summer festivals.
A dedicated performer, Kyle won the position of Acting Second Flute and Piccolo during the Saskatoon Symphony’s 2018-2019 season and currently performs with the Ottawa Pops Orchestra as Principal Piccolo. He has attended numerous summer music festivals including Orchestre de la francophonie, the Pender Island Flute Retreat, The Consummate Flutist, and the Orford Music Festival, and has performed in numerous master classes including those led by Lorna McGhee, Leone Buyse, Alberto Almarza, Soo-Kyung Park, Joanna G’Froerer, and Denis Bluteau. As a devoted pedagogue, he has been an active private flute instructor for the past 15 years, guiding students of all ages and abilities.
is a Toronto based flutist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, currently studying under Kelly Zimba. She is in her third year of her bachelors of music in performance at the University of Toronto, and has performed with numerous ensembles and orchestras, including the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in masterclasses for renowned flutists Julien Beaudiment, Emily Beynon, and Paul Edmund-Davies, and has worked as a flute instructor at the Saskatoon Band Camp. She received the Charpentier University Entrance Scholarship from the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra, and the Ian R. Dalton Music Scholarship and Music Alumni Scholarship from the University of Toronto. Rowan previously studied under Randi Nelson and Allison Miller, and has been playing the flute for 13 years.
born and raised in Edmonton, Taran Plamondon is a French horn player and Owner & Lead Music Editor of Éditions Plamondon.
Taran holds an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School, where he was the recipient of the Hazel Workman Kettley Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Alberta. He returned to Canada in 2026 after a two-year stint in New Zealand performing as Acting Sub-Principal Horn with the Auckland Philharmonia.
As an active freelancer, he has appeared with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, as well as several Canadian orchestras including the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. He also held the position of 4th Horn in the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra from 2019-2022. His three years in the National Youth Orchestra of Canada took him to stages across the country, as well as Portugal, Germany and Scotland. A lover of chamber music (woodwind quintet in particular), Taran has taken part in the NAC Orchestra Mentorship Program and the NAC Young Artists Program, NYO Chamberfest, and the Glenn Gould School New Music Ensemble.
Outside of music, he enjoys rhythm games (GITADORA is a particular favourite lately) and cycling increasingly ludicrous distances through the countryside.
is a final-year engineering physics student at the University of Saskatchewan, who has played the French horn since the age of 10. She has played in the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra and the Usask Wind Orchestra, and currently plays in the Saskatoon Community Bands Wind Ensemble and the Bridge City Brass Band. When not making beautiful noise, Arika enjoys riding bikes and writing code.
